Henrietta Marion
Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone was born on 21 October 1824, the 12th
of the 13 children of Sir Robert Dalrymple-Horn-Ephinstone, Bart
(1766-1848), Lt Col of Scots Fusilier Guards, of Logie-Elphinstone,
Scotland, and Graeme, daughter of Colonel David Hepburn. She was
both the daughter of a baronet and a descendent of the Earl of
Stair of Stair House, Ayrshire, Scotland and 7 Seamore Place, Curzon
Street, London. She died on 26 February 1903. (Source: The
